Nick Stoner Seniors name raffle winners
CAROGA LAKE — The Nick Stoner Seniors met April 3. Grace Eglin called the meeting to order at noon. A moment of silence was given for Robert Bleyl, who recently passed away. “The Lords Prayer,” Pledge of Allegiance and Hello to your Neighbor followed.
The secretary and treasury reports were given and accepted.
The hospitality report was given. A refreshment committee, selected for the April 17, meeting, will be Dottie Richeson, Jean Griffen and Janice McLaughlin.
The sunshine report was given. There were 20 cards sent out this month.
The membership report was given. A reminder that dues are due; there are still a few unpaid. McLaughlin gave an update on prices for the trips. There is a change in the price of two trips: July 31, st Cooperstown, Otsego County, is $50 and Dec. 6, to the Beeches is $50.
McLaughlin spoke on having a raffle for a queen size quilt donated to the club by Nancy Bennett Roberts called Burgoyne Surrounded Quilt. Richeson made a motion to have the raffle and Shirley hollis seconded it motion passed the tickets will be made for the next meeting.
Sharon Fenstermacher took attendance and sold raffle tickets. There were 16 members present.
Grace Eglin welcomed George Van Allen back to the meeting.
The meeting adjourned. After the meeting, the group held their raffle. The winners were Fenstermacher and Griffen, who the winnings back to the club. Griffen donated an Easter basket she made; Audrey Gessinger won it. Marion Snell won the flower centerpiece, made and donated by Barbara McFee. The refreshments were served following the meeting by Jeannine Schwartz, Linda Saglimbeni, and Snell.
